Yo GM2,
Angelo and I were talking about how it's sort of lame that new patch content is always spoiled pre release by the test realms, since people are posting everything about it, giving step-by-steps for every boss, quest, etc. and linking all the new items. This takes some of the fun/adventure/excitement out of it all, if you ask me.
So I'm wondering how people feel about NOT reading up on Zul'aman before it comes out, and seeing if we can figure it out ourselves (or at least trying a few times and seeing how it goes). It'd be nice to actually walk into a brand new 10 man with no clue what to expect or how to handle it. This is what these types of games should be about, in my opinion, not simply loading up wowwiki and reading exactly how to do it from someone else. I mean, it's fun downing these bosses in kara, but i think i would feel even better about it if we learned how to do the bosses ourselves, or died valiantly in the attempt...
Just a thought. Comments welcomed.

I'm a huge fan of this idea. Yes, it will be tempting to sneak a peek at the gear, but I'd be willing to delay gratification. We seem to have a tight core group and running blindly into Zul'Aman will definately test our patience. Be prepared for multiple wipes. Be prepared for wipes where boss is at 75% health and we consider it a major victory. Most of all be prepared to be good natured about the whole thing. One sour-puss could spoil all the fun. No catatonic, follow-the-leader style play either. Everyone will have to be attentive and thoughtful as we try to work through each encounter. Again, I'm super stoked to try this out. I think it will be the most I've had in the game.

i like this idea as wellm i remember the first time i went in mechanar when the xpac first came out and not many people knew how to do it and no one in my party did, so we played it by ear and it was realllly fun
Sweet. That's what I like to hear. I mean, imagine being one of the first in Karazhan. You'd be thinking, "What the hell...this place is crazytown." I look forward to that for ZA. I mean, not knowing what a boss is going to pull out of his sleeve makes it scary and fun. The first group to run Shade got smoked by the flame wreath and they said, "hmm, ok...DON'T MOVE!!!". I look forward to figure shit out with you dudes. Unless it just gets really frustrating and expensive, in which case, we can go back to cheating as usual. Time for angelo to get naked...

I agree with the blind-run game plan in light of our instane leetness. We basically cleared through prince in a matter of a few weeks, and one or two shotted many of the bosses. I think keeping things a mystery will keep the novelty alive for a lot longer. It is no fun rocking Doom with "idkfa."
"It's not fun rocking Doom w/ IDKFA". WTF are you talking about?
Seriously Jim, you sound like a 12 year old girl from a Sprint commercial. English muthafucka, do you speak it?!
Good lord people. "Idkfa" made you invincible in Doom. I was attempting to analogize that to running kara with wowiki cheats. Would a "uuddlrlr ab start" reference with Contra have been better?
it's uuddlrlr ab SELECT start...
You are all fucking jackasses. it's up up down down left right left right BA start (select start for 2 player).
